Zamzam - Target 155

Mosques in Melbourne are Targeting 155 

Mercy Mission has been engaging with City West Water in several activities via The Zamzam Water Conservation Project. As a part of this project, Mercy Mission has installed billboards (images below) at the Werribee, Maidstone and Newport mosques supporting the "Target 155" campaign.


"Target 155" is a Victorian Government initiative to limit the water usage per person, per day to 155 litres. We expect attendees of these mosques will commit themselves to saving water through this initiative InshaAllah. You can read more the Victorian Government's 'Target 155' initiative here.

Mercy Mission would like to extend its appreciation to City West Water for its support and assistance in Zamzam's 'Target 155' activities.

The Zamzam Environment Sustainability Program (ZESP) is continuing to develop various initiatives to service the community, such as:

• the Zamzam Green Book;
• the Zamzam Green Home Project; and
• the Zamzam Green Ambassador Project
